Events We Run in Los Angeles, California

We run four kinds of casino-themed events out of Los Angeles: charity fundraisers, corporate parties, private celebrations, and brand activations. Each one uses the same tables and the same professional dealers, but the pacing, the table mix, and the paperwork behind it are different. This page is here to help you figure out which one you're actually planning before you call us.

What we cover

Dealer Dolls has been running casino parties from a Los Angeles base since 2006, and we travel throughout California. Every booking includes the tables, the chips, the cards, the setup, and dealers we hire and train in house. We carry event liability insurance and take all major credit cards.

The four event types we run:

• Charity casino night fundraisers. Nonprofit galas and benefit nights where the casino floor drives donations and prize raffles. We're certified by the California Department of Justice gambling division for charity fundraisers, and we've helped raise over one million dollars for hundreds of California charities.
• Corporate casino parties. Holiday parties, sales kickoffs, client appreciation nights, and team events. Past clients include Red Bull, SpaceX, Quiksilver, Macy's, and Calvin Klein.
• Private party casino rentals. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, bachelor and bachelorette parties, backyard nights, and weddings.
• Brand activations. Product launches, press events, and hospitality suites where the casino floor is part of the guest experience. We've worked with Bombay Sapphire, the World Series of Poker, and the Hollywood Roosevelt.

All play is for entertainment. Chips have no cash value, and no guest wagers or wins real money at any event we run.

How to tell which service you actually need

Most people know within one question. Ask yourself who is paying and what the night is supposed to accomplish.

If a nonprofit is hosting and the goal is raising money, you want the charity fundraiser track. California has rules about how charity gaming events are structured, and that changes how chips are distributed, how prizes work, and what has to be documented. We handle the compliance side of that so your committee isn't guessing. We won't give you legal advice, but we will tell you what we need from you and when.

If a company is paying and guests are employees or clients, it's a corporate party. The planning centers on headcount, venue rules, and making sure people who have never played a hand still feel welcome at a table. Corporate crowds spread out slowly, so table mix matters more than most hosts expect.

If it's your own money and your own guest list, it's a private party. These are usually smaller, later starting, and more forgiving on timing. A backyard blackjack table for thirty people is a real event to us, not a scaled-down version of something bigger.

If a brand is paying and the point is impressions, it's an activation. The casino floor has to look right on camera and work in short bursts, because guests cycle through rather than settle in.

What the work looks like, start to finish

It starts with a conversation about headcount, venue, and how long you want the tables open. From there we recommend a table mix. Blackjack and roulette carry the beginners, craps draws a crowd and a lot of noise, poker holds the people who came to play. The ratio depends on your guests, not on a formula.

We load in ahead of your start time, set the floor, and lay out chips and cards. Dealers arrive dressed and briefed. When your doors open, the tables are ready and staffed.

During the event, the dealers do more than deal. They teach. A good dealer can bring a guest from "I don't know how to play" to comfortable inside two hands, and that single skill is what decides whether your floor fills up or sits half empty. At the end, we break down and load out. You don't handle any of it.

One detail worth planning early: venue access. Freight elevators, load-in windows, and parking shape our schedule more than anything else. Tell us about those constraints on the first call.

What it costs and what moves the number

We quote every event individually, so there's no rate card here. What we can tell you is what changes the number: how many tables you need, how many dealers, how long the tables stay open, where the venue is and how hard it is to load into, and whether you want extras like a tournament format or custom-branded layouts for a corporate or brand event.

Headcount is the biggest driver, because it sets table count. A rough rule we use is that a crowded floor feels better than an empty one, so we'd rather right-size the tables than oversell you a room full of them.

How we work differently

Dealer Dolls was founded in 2006 by Jodi Lee Screpnek and has been owned, operated, and staffed entirely by women for about twenty years. We were the original all-women casino party company, and we still hire and train every one of our more than 20 professional dealers in house. That matters because dealer quality is the whole product. Tables are tables.

Our dealers have worked celebrity poker tournaments alongside players including Johnny Chan, Phil Laak, and Antonio Esfandiari, and our tables have appeared in Ocean's 13, CSI: NY, House, and GSN's Ace in the House. They've also run quiet backyard birthdays. Both get the same crew standards.

We've worked with Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, and Autism Speaks on the fundraising side, which is where the compliance certification earns its keep.
