A craps table rental gives your party the loudest, most social table in the room: a regulation 4 foot by 12 foot layout, three professional dealers running it at real casino pace, and all the chips, dice, and setup included. When a craps table is the right call

Craps is the table people crowd around. A blackjack table seats seven and stays fairly quiet. A craps table pulls in twelve to fifteen people standing shoulder to shoulder, cheering the same roll, and that noise carries across a room. If you want one spot that visibly signals the party is going well, this is it.

It earns its place when you have the guest count and the floor to support it. A craps table needs the most space of anything we bring, so it fits best in ballrooms, large tented backyards, warehouse spaces, and open corporate lobbies. For smaller rooms or tighter guest lists, we will usually steer you toward blackjack and roulette first and add craps only if the footprint works. One caution worth saying plainly: craps has the steepest learning curve of any casino game. That is not a reason to skip it. Our dealers teach as they go, and beginners pick up the pass line in a few rolls. But it does mean the table depends more on the dealers than any other game on the floor.

What the job involves, step by step

We talk through the room first. Guest count, venue, indoor or outdoor, load-in path, elevator or stairs, what time the room is available. A 4 by 12 table plus standing room on both long sides is a real footprint, and we would rather find the problem on the phone than in your ballroom.

You get a written quote. Every event is priced individually. Nothing is a package off a shelf.

We load in and set up before guests arrive. The table is built on site and dressed, chips are racked and counted, dice and sticks are laid out. Setup is included in the booking, not billed as a surprise line at the end.

Three dealers run the table. A stickman calls the game and controls the dice, and two base dealers handle payouts on either end. That is how a real craps table runs, and it is the only way to keep pace when fifteen people are betting at once. A single dealer on a craps table means a slow game and a bored crowd.

We open with instruction. The first few minutes at the table are teaching minutes. Our dealers are hired and trained in house, and explaining the game to someone who has never touched a pair of dice is part of the job, not an interruption of it.

We break down and load out. Chips are reconciled, the table comes apart, and the space goes back the way we found it.

How long it takes

Three parts: load-in and setup, play, and breakdown. You control the middle one. Tell us when doors open and when you want tables to close, and we build the schedule backward from there.

Setup for craps takes longer than for any other table we bring, because it is the largest piece and it gets assembled on site. What actually drives the clock is the venue: a ground floor room with a wide door and a loading zone is fast, and a third floor space with a small elevator and a valet-only curb is not. Breakdown is quicker than setup, but it is not instant, and some venues have hard end times written into their contracts. Check yours before you book so the load-out window is real.

What it costs and what moves the price

What we look at:

• Dealer count. Craps runs with three dealers. That is fixed if you want casino pace, and it is the single biggest cost difference between craps and a table that runs with one.
• Hours of play. Longer runs cost more. So does a long gap between setup and start time.
• Venue access. Stairs, distant load-in, restricted delivery windows, and limited parking all add labor.
• Travel. We work from a Los Angeles base and travel throughout California. Distance factors in.
• Date and timing. Peak season dates and late-night end times affect staffing.
• The rest of your floor. Craps is rarely booked alone, and the total table mix shapes the quote.

What to look for in whoever you hire

Ask how many dealers they staff on a craps table. If the answer is one, the game will crawl. Ask whether the dealers are trained employees or subcontractors picked up per job. Ours are hired and trained in house, more than 20 professional dealers, and they teach beginners without making anyone feel foolish.

Ask for proof of event liability insurance. Most venues in Los Angeles will require a certificate before your load-in, and a company that hesitates on that question will cost you a headache on event day.
